~ In
Recognition ~
All of the dust control
tools and many of the products on this site were designed specifically for the Brick Layers & Allied Craft Workers (BAC).
Our product
designed was based on one simple thought: Comfort. For as a
safety director once told me, "Give the men comfort, and they'll give me
production."
Throughout the
years, many of the BAC members that I have spoken to about dust control
and the harmful effects of silica dust have either retired or died.
In this new
age of environmental and health awareness, hopefully you will find our products as legacies
to those men.
Sincerely, Ted

Key Reasons for Dust Control
The massive amounts of
silica dust that is created just can't be of any good for our
health. Exposure to silica
dust is a major respiratory health hazard . . . that eventually leads
to silicosis.
Dust Clean-up Expense
Probably, your No. 1 reason
for purchasing a dust control system will be the very expensive
clean-up expense . . . Think about it, anytime that waste is
created, that you don't have to handle, there's a
payback
in labor savings . . .
FACT:
Grinding brick mortar joints, 1/4" wide x 1/2" deep, in an 8 hour
day, generates 80 to 120 lbs. of silica dust.
Using a dust control system
is the only realistic way of keeping a job site clean . . . Sweeping, vacuuming, or
washing the
dust - after you created it - is kind of ridiculous.
Your clean-up expense
alone may be your single most important reason for purchasing a dust control
system.
- Environmental Pollution &
Damage -
Lets think of our environment . . .
in particular the expense of washing-down a building, the plants, trees, cars, etc. -
after you dusted them . . .
Where to you think the slurry material
goes? Eventually
it finds its way into our waterways . . . Not only does this cause serious environmental
degradation but, it is against the law and you will most likely receive an on-the-spot fine of $2,000 being issued by the Appropriate
Regulatory Authority (ARA), along with a Clean-up Notice.
