Both models use the same blades, 7", 8", 9", and 10" blades; with the 10" blade providing a 3-1/4" depth-of-cut. Lightweight model is a 7" Makita angle grinder and the Heavyweight model uses a 9" Makita grinder. The guards are the same, providing complete blade visibility, 96% dust control efficiency, and they are extremely durable and lightweight - made of aircraft aluminum.

#4. How to begin your cut:

Angle the Dust Director into the material
- barrel end first, at a 45° degree angle
Completely sink the blade to obtain your necessary depth-of-cut
- use the correct size blade
Proceed to cut . . .
- Always cutting right-to-left . . . Cutting into the joint.

#5. Depth-of-Cut.
Accepts 4 different blade diameters. Blade diameter determine your depth-of-cut:

#6. Vacuum Barrel with 2" OD Dust Exhaust Port.

Besides dust, chunks of concrete or mortar are usually broken-off when cutting.
The 2" wide dust port eliminates larger pieces from clogging inside the guard and the exhaust port.
Productivity downtime of removing clogged chunks is eliminated - the saw doesn't clog.

Two models are available, it is the angle grinder that makes the difference between them.

The guard is attached to the angle grinder by four hex-head set screws. The guard may be re-positioned (rotated) by loosening the screws and re-positioning the guard.
